The Brief
Growing Growers is a farmer apprenticeship program Kansas State University started in 2004. It connects new farmers with more than 45 host farms across Kansas and Missouri, and it runs workshops for a working grower community. Years of that had piled up on Weebly with nothing holding it together. We moved the site to WordPress on Kadence and organized it around the programs people come looking for.

Off Weebly
Weebly had capped what the site could do. We rebuilt on WordPress instead of copying the old pages across.
Redesigned, Not Just Moved
A migration that only swaps platforms leaves the same problems in a new place. We redesigned on the Kadence Pro theme with Kadence Blocks.
Structured by Program
Years of content had piled up with no organizing principle. We grouped it by program, so an apprentice and a host farm each land somewhere useful.
Handed to the Team
Program pages and host farm listings are editable in Kadence Blocks. Updates no longer wait on us.
